The island of Elba is connected to the mainland by four shipping companies - Toremar, Blu Navy and Moby Lines - that run daily services between Piombino Marittima and Portoferraio (Toremar also to Rio Marina, Moby Lines also to Cavo).
The crossing takes about 60 minutes. Toremar also runs some hydrofoil rides (30') to Cavo and Portoferraio.
